Event Space Information

The versatile event spaces located in the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in McKinney can be the next location for your special event.

The Throckmorton Ballroom measures 2,278 square feet. We have onsite catering , restaurant and a sports bar. Complimentary pre function space is available at the entrance to the ballroom. This can be used for registration, cash bar, or elegantly displayed hors d’oeuvres. We have an LCD projector, 10 x 10 motorized projection screen & microphone. We also offer complimentary wired or wireless high speed internet access.

The ballroom can be divided by a retractable partition to accommodate smaller functions. If the function is for a seminar that requires little note taking, we suggest using Theater style for maximum seating. Classroom style is a good choice when having training seminars since there is plenty of room for note taking and perhaps water service. Should you be holding a meeting that requires interaction between people, the U Shape or Conference seating will be the best choice as it allows everyone to see each other and has table top for note taking. Weddings, luncheons and dinners are best set in Rounds for greatest use of space and also allows for the utmost conversational atmosphere.

You may add head tables, buffets, gift tables and perhaps a dance floor and a DJ. Remember when you add these extras, your maximum number of people will be reduced.
